School Lunches

Food is prepared everyday in our own school kitchens. Each day there is a choice of main meal, including a vegetarian option and a choice of pudding (fresh fruit salad and yoghurt are on offer everyday). Fresh bread is a baked on site everyday and is available along with a choice of salads. Children in the infants and juniors may also choose a jacket potato with a variety of fillings for their main course. Junior children (KS2) can also opt for the "Deli" choice.

The kitchen is also able to provide for specialist needs such as gluten free, lactose intolerant and other dietary requirements by arrangement. Mrs Surridge, our Head Cook, is keen to make mealtimes as inclusive as possible and for all children to enjoy eating together.

Children in EYFS & KS1 currently receive their school meal free as part of the Government Scheme 'Universal Infant Free School Meals'. The cost of a school meal for children in KS2 is £2.40 per day.

Free school meals are available to pupils in receipt of, or whose parents are in receipt of, one or more of the following benefits:

  • Universal credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
  • Income support
  • Income-based jobseeker’s allowance
  • Income-related employment and support allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guarantee element of pension credit
