National Reports:

All schools are periodically inspected by OFSTED and required to provide a link to their most recent report. The OFSTED inspection process for good schools has changed and we are one of the first schools in Shropshire to be inspected under the new framework which came into use on 1st Janauary, 2018. The short inspection took place on 18th January, 2018 and reported "This school continues to be good".

  • SIAMS

As a Church of England (VC) primary school we are also inspected under a framework which reflects the positive impact of the schools Christian character on our pupils achievement and well-being.

National Curriculum requirements for Swimming and Water Safety

What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least  25 metres?

What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort use a range of strokes effectively [for example, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke]?

What percentage of your current Year 6 cohort perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations?

Schools can choose to use the Primary PE and Sport Premium to provide additional provision for swimming but this must be for activity over and above the national curriculum requirements. Have you used it in this way?

No - next year we are intending to use additional sessions to provide intervention for those not reaching the required 25 metres.
